Students work on writing artist statements about their work. They will explain what their painting is about, where they got their inspiration from, and list at least 5 facts about an artist that influenced their work.
Celebrations and Motivation
Excitement rises as the school sports competition gets closer and closer. Students encourage and motivate one another with good sportsmanship in all upcoming events.
Relay Practice for sports competition
Students worked to create batons made out of PVC pipes painted with bright car paint for their relays in the upcoming sports competition.

After touring the museum students had time to sketch several sculptures that interested them.
Field trip to Esie Museum
Students line up as they prepare for a guided tour through the collection of traditional Esie Art. The largest collection of soapstone sculptures in Sub-Saharan Africa. Students had time to sketch one figure that caught their attention.
Kings with local clay
Students during the two day workshop are introduced to local clay. They practice making king and queen sculptures.
Mosaics
Students use a combination of rice, beans, and colored beads to create their own Mosaics.
